Leadership training with behavioural science

You have said it three times, and your team still does it differently.

How much your team changes depends on how much influence you have on the choices and behaviour of your people. Fortunately, that can be learnt. In our online course you learn how to make change land.

What you do differently on Monday.

  • You know why your team does not do what you ask.You see what makes the old behaviour easy, even when everyone says yes.
  • You change the situation, so you need to steer less.In the team meeting, the planning and the agreements you make.
  • You bring your team along without pushing harder. The new behaviour becomes the easiest choice.

It was a lovely pace with lots of humour and good variety between theory and doing. Group assignment in 2 days was good to do with the team members.

The path

The same method, online, at your own pace.

Lesson by lesson you work on one question: why does your team member do what they do? You apply it straight away with the tools of the SUE Influence Framework©. Then the fix: how do you make the behaviour you want to see the easiest choice, and how do you put AI to work on it? In 33 lessons at your own pace you collect downloads and tools you use for your own team, meeting or change on Monday.

Through your employer

How to get your employer on board

Most participants take the training on their employer’s budget or their own training budget. The VAT invoice goes to your organisation: €1,490 excl. VAT. Open the email below, fill in three things and send it to your manager.

Subject: Request for the training The Art of Influence©Dear [name], I would like to attend SUE's training The Art of Influence©: two days in Amsterdam on [date], 1,490 euros excl. VAT. SUE invoices [organisation] directly. I want my team to actually do something differently after we agree on a good plan. We usually try to fix that with better arguments. The SUE method turns that round: first understand why someone does or doesn't do something, then design the situation so the behaviour we want becomes the easy option. The training works with real examples from practice. I bring back the Influence Framework, the templates and cheat cards, and use them afterwards on [project or question]. I also come back with an EQAC-accredited certificate. If you agree, I will book this week. Best regards, [name]
Which one is on your desk?

Six questions every manager recognises.

Why does my team not do what we agreed?

Making agreements is easy, keeping them takes effort. As long as the old way is easier, it wins.

More on behaviour change →

How do I bring my team along with a change?

Explaining why it has to happen is rarely enough. Show what it brings and make the first step small.

More on making change land →

How do I give feedback that actually changes something?

Feedback works when someone knows what they can do differently tomorrow. Keep it concrete and small, and come back to it.

More on leadership →

How do I make people dare to say what they think?

Your team watches what happens when someone says something difficult. If you respond well, the others follow.

More on conflict management →

How do I keep my team motivated and healthy?

Motivation drops when work is mostly effort. Look for where you can take that effort away.

More on happiness at work →

How do I get my team working with AI?

Uncertainty slows people down more than the technology. Start with one task where AI saves time straight away.

Frequently asked questions

What managers ask before they sign up.

I know nothing about behavioural science. Is this still right for me as a manager?

Most participants start without any prior knowledge. You learn exactly the behavioural science you need, and you apply it straight away to real-life examples. Afterwards you know how to use it in your team and your meetings.

I have been managing people for years. Will I still learn something new?

That is exactly when it pays off. You already have the experience. The training shows why your team sometimes does not move, however well you explain it. After two days you know what to change about the situation.

Who will I be in the group with?

A mixed group of up to 16 people: marketers, HR, communications, lawyers, policymakers and managers. The mix is on purpose. You see how someone from another sector wrestles with exactly the same kind of question.

Can I claim this back from my employer?

Yes. We invoice in your company’s name and the training is EQAC-accredited. That makes reimbursement easier. Need a quote or more information for your request? Get in touch.

You can explain it to your team one more time. Or you can learn to design the situation. The Art of Influence© online · start today
